Cracks

Just thinking and thought I would add them here. I have been watching the news and am frankly appalled at the cracks shown in an alleged superpowers capability to deal with an emergency. Giving Bush a nod for a change, he has acknowledged his countries inadequacy in dealing with the Gulfport area crisis, however he has also asked for 10.5 billion (that’s an American billion by the way) in emergency aid. Proves what I have already said about America’s economy. Of course his lapdog Blair has jumped as well to his aid.

Now I am not saying asking for help is bad but the fact that he is wasting money in Iraq and that he pre-warned New Orleans about the severity but people are dying and living in conditions that reporters of the Boxing Day disaster say are the worst they have seen ANYWHERE, seems to indicate if he had his act together he wouldn’t need aid and people would not be in needless hardship!

Police seem more interested in killing any looter not just those stealing high value goods at gunpoint. No one is getting food or water in and no one is evacuating anyone? Where is the sense in that. An elderly, ill Afro-American woman was seen by one reporter begging a police car for help only to be told to desist and turn back by a pump action shotgun wielding police officer. Where is the compassion?

This is an appalling condemnation of the underbelly of American culture!

On a lighter note if you visit The Unspeakable Page and wish to view the relative sanity of my home city it is there to see!
